Eat More Food to Lose More Fat

Everyone that wants to lose weight will go on a diet. In other words they will try to starve themselves by eating as little as possible, hoping that the less they eat the quicker the will lose the weight. However, how many people are actually successful with this method? Have you ever met someone that can honestly say they lost all the weight they wanted to, and did not put it back on within a few months, by using this method?

Now, dieting does work. You will lose weight, if you don’t mind it only being water and muscle. This is what most people do. They lose the water and some extra muscle, then claim that they have lost a whole stone of unwanted fat. They can fit in those jeans again, and are as happy as can be. Then a few months go by, and guess what they are a stone and a half heavier, then they wonder what happened. The cycle then continues, they diet, lose some more muscle and are temporarily happy.

There are many problems with this method of losing weight. Firstly, it is not an easy way, as you have to starve yourself and resist snack temptations. Not only is this bad for you self esteem, but also your health. Your body makes you hungry for a reason. Whenever you feel hunger it means your body is low on nutrients it needs to keep you healthy. If you don’t provide the nutrients then your body will have to suffer. Even worse your body will literally eat itself. It will use vital muscle tissue as food.

Muscle is one of the main parts of your body which burns calories. The more you have the more calories you can burn and the higher you metabolism. So, if you are starving yourself you may think you are losing the weight, but in the long term you will just be making it gradually harder for you to lose more weight.

So how can you actually lose fat and keep you precious muscle? Eat more. It’s as simple as that. The only thing you need to do is change the frequency of your meals. Eat five to six meals throughout the day. The reason for this is because it takes about three hours for your body to digest a meal, once the meal is digested your body will have no more food to get nutrients from. If you sleep for eight hours a night (which you should) this leaves sixteen hours in the day, sixteen divided by three is between five and six.

There are no disadvantages to this method compared to the other one. This method will increase you metabolism and keep it high for the whole day. You will always be satisfied and will never get urges to eat something sweet and unhealthy. Your body will thank you and you will effortlessly lose the fat healthily.
